Hedera helix

This is the last major bee flower of the year. Its nectar is freely available to any insect and the flowers are usually buzzing with wasps and flies, as well as honey bees. The honey produced from ivy nectar granulates very rapidly but the plant is still a useful provider of additional honey stores and is an important late source of pollen for the hive.
